Looking for a spot that really hits the mark for live performances? The Studio One Theatre at the Riffe Center in Columbus, Ohio, is kind of a hidden gem. This place has a vibe that can switch from cozy jazz nights to full-blown theatrical productions in no time. It’s got this super flexible stage setup that makes it perfect for all kinds of shows, think small intimate gigs or larger productions that pack a punch. The main theater was renamed in 2015 to honor a beloved local figure whose contributions to the arts really left a mark around here. Fun fact: the world premiere of the play 'Hearts Shadows' kicked off there back on february 14, 1995, yeah, it’s got some serious history. They even hosted a national poetry slam in 2004, turning it into a go-to spot for performance poets. Oh, and the seats, box seats give you that private, almost VIP feel with killer views, while the booth seating is perfect for small groups looking for a cozy hangout. Plus, getting there is a breeze with parking right at Columbus Commons, and if you’re coming from the airport, just hop on Interstate 670 heading west.
